Yep, that's it. I did not nearly walk as much as I was hoping, planing and thinking I would do this month. Needless to say I did not reach my goal of 20,000 steps a day. I'm a little disappointed in myself, and have been thinking about why I can't seem to increase my steps much more. The past two weeks have been pretty busy at work, with the Certification Review making some pretty big dents in my schedule (including my walking one). Not that I should blame it on that, but that whole process did include a lot of sitting behind a desk to listen to 25 presentations. And that wasn't bad at all, I actually enjoyed it, but sitting doesn't get me many steps.
Last week, trying to catch up on work went well, but it also involved sitting in my office more. I think I will have to get a better way to get my walking in... maybe actually force myself to take a lunch break or something... Well, I'll see what I decide on that.
This afternoon I will go out to find the second geocache, and see if I can find Squiggly for the second time. If I do I will report on that tomorrow.

I get about 10000 steps per day walking to and from public transport, and also at work doing IT Desktop Support. I reckon 20000 steps would be 2 hours plus of walking each day. Good luck in meeting your goal in the future.

I am getting 12-15k but I do force myself to walk for a solid hour at a pretty good pace at lunch otherwise I would be lucky to get 5k! When I started walking I hadn't taken a regular lunch break for over 10 years... but I'm finding that the lost time is made up for by being more productive because I feel better, get a chance to clear my head, and some of my best thinking happens while walking. Of course too much thinking while walking and it becomes a little dangerous because of the distraction |
