OK, so I wanted to get started right on Monday, but for some reason it slipped my mind. After catching up on email, saw all of the reminders, and signed up. I started walking on Thursday, and got just over 10,000 steps. Not a bad start I think. Although, after checking out the standings on the web site, I think I want to set a goal for this month. By the end of April, I'm hoping to do at least 20,000 steps a day, which would be double of what I did on my first day.
I've picked up my passport and started recording my steps each day. Jennifer, whom I picked up the passport from, said something about country stamps and postcards. She showed me her first one from France. So I searched the site to see what it would take for me to get one. Was I suprised to find that I could request the first stamp from France already! Very nice, I printed it out, and put it in my passport. Nice incentive, I'm looking forward to the next one.
